The South Australian Amateur Soccer League are excited to announce that, through our affiliation to Football SA, we have come together with the SA Amateur Referees Association to create a pathway that will provide a recognised structure for the retention, development and recruitment of referees for the league.
We thank Football SA CEO Michael Carter and State Manager of Referees, Andrew Murray for their support and the opportunity to create the environment where all SAASL Referees can register and gain accreditation, have access to ongoing training, coaching and development opportunities through the recognised structures available from Football SA.
The SA Amateur Soccer Referees Association remains an autonomous body that is affiliated through the SAASL with Football SA.

Please remember to register your attendance for one of the four upcoming fitness tests.
It is a basic fitness test for minimum standards. The format is described in the pdf document below.

A new dress code policy is being implemented in 2018. This guide will assist you in ensuring first impressions are good ones. Referees are expected to arrive at a ground wearing:
- long pants (black or grey slacks/track pants) with closed shoes (black shoes or sneakers)
- official SAASRA polo shirt for all referees appointed to Div 1 matches and cup finals later in the season
- official SAASRA jacket if weather warrants
- shorts, thongs or sandals are not acceptable
- official SAASRA shorts are acceptable but only with official socks pulled up and official shirt tucked in. 

All active referees will receive a free jacket.
Members need to purchase the polo shirt at $30.

A commemorative dinner is being held to celebrate our 40 years. More details to come but for now, please put aside the date for this very special occasion.

Members are advised that there will be four opportunities to complete the 2018 fitness test. The test is a 30 minute process and commences 6.30pm sharp.
Test 1 - Thursday 22nd March
Test 2 - Monday 26th March (prior to General Meeting)
Test 3 - Thursday 5th April
Test 4 - Monday 9th April
All tests will be held at Pennington Reserve (enter Collins Street from Addison Road).
